Sandy River Guide Service offers Salmon and Steelhead drift boat trip on one of Oregon’s beautiful scenic rivers. The guide service is based 10 miles east of Portland. Fishing Sandy River in Oregon is the sole focus of Captain Barry Buckland. He has over 20 years of experience guiding people on these amazing Oregon excursions; and looks forward to guiding your group as well! Groups of four fish comfortably aboard the 17ft drift boat. With the Captain’s experience and his onboard navigational equipment, you’ll be on the fish in no time. There is a casting platform for those casting their line. A cooler is available for any snacks or drinks you want to bring on your Sandy River fishing trip. We also have life jackets and fire extinguishers if needed. The Captain also has a First-Aid Kit and is trained in life-saving CPR skills (just in case). Captain Barry offers half day (4 hours), 3/4 day (6 hours), and full day (8 hours) fishing trips on the Sandy River. Depending on the season, you’ll target Brown Trout, Cutthroat Trout, Rainbow Trout, Coho Salmon, Steelhead, or Sturgeon. All gear is provided for your fishing adventure; you’ll want to make sure you bring a valid Oregon fishing license. The Captain is happy to answer any question you may have about your fishing trip. He is able to accommodate most requests (within reason). While children are welcome onboard, we ask that kids be at least 8 years old; this helps everyone have a great day on the water!
