Captain Aaron Felthousen is a Vero Beach native, having fished the Indian River Lagoon and the Sebastian Inlet for over 40 years. These waters are home to an abundant population of Snook, Redfish, Tarpon, Mangrove Snapper, and more. Captain Aaron is great with kids and novice anglers. He’ll make sure they’re comfortable and confident with the techniques needed to fill your cooler. For the veteran anglers, Captain Aaron is well versed with both fly tackle and traditional tackle and will be sure to put you on the fish.

Second Chance Charter’s 18’ flats boat has a shallow draft that will allow you access to the skinny waters that most other boats aren’t able to reach. Whether you’re looking for a quick, productive half day trip, or the full day fishing excursion, Second Chance Charters has you covered. Your trip cost for the day includes a fishing license for everyone on board, filleting the day’s catch, all rods/reels/bait, and fly-fishing equipment if requested. Due to the nature of fly fishing, we highly recommend a maximum of 2 anglers on board. Season dependent, Captain Aaron Felthousen will put you on Redfish, Snook, Tarpon, Spotted Seatrout, Mangrove Snapper, Sheepshead, Black Drum, and Flounder, just to name a few. We’ll be able to help you land a variety of the afore mentioned species. Once you load up your cooler with fresh fillets of the species that are in season, we can spend more time focusing on the hard-fighting fish like Tarpon and Black Drum.
