During your fishing adventure we will be targeting Trout, Redfish, and Black Drum with the occasional Flounder or Shark. All trips are fully guided and include all tackle and bait. We are family-friendly and kids are welcome.

Captain Randy Seidel guides your group boat or wade fishing on the Texas Coasts’ pristine bays. Experienced with both bait fishing or artificial lures, Captain Randy will teach you how to properly use whatever bait you have to catch the big fish! Anglers of all ages and experience level are welcome at Seidel Guide Service.

Your Texas Coast fishing trip takes place aboard Captain Randy’s 24ft Bay Boat with Mercury 250 Pro XS engine. All ages are welcome and we are able to accommodate 4 passengers comfortably. We have top GPS navigation equipment and a livewell keeping the bait ready just for you… climb aboard for a great day or fishing with Captain Randy!

Seidel Guide Service offers half day morning/afternoon charters that run for four hours, and a full day trip that will run 7 hours. All charters are provided with top of the line tackle, a brand new spotless and clean boat, and a friendly Captain who is knowledgeable and passionate about Rockport fishing! You’ll want to bring your Texas saltwater fishing license, waders, hat, sunscreen, and bug repellent. You’re also welcome to bring beverages and snacks for the day; and don’t forget the camera to capture the day’s events!

Captain Randy is a strong believer in conservation of the environment and wildlife. He will encourage you take a picture of your trophy catch and then release it to fight another day. If you want to keep it to mount it, or plate it… that’s okay too.

We fish every day of the year – so whether you prefer fly fishing, lure fishing, or live bait fishing we will make sure you’re bringing fish in. The season and water temperature may determine what we find at the end of the line, but don’t worry… Captain Randy will work hard to teach you all he knows and make sure you’re heading home with great memories of the day!

    You’ll need to bring drinks (no glass bottles), snacks, weather appropriate clothing, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc.

  • Weather cancellations are at your Captain’s discretion, your safety is their number one priority! You will receive a refund for any weather cancellation, or you can choose to reschedule your trip for a different date.

Half Day Trip (AM)
Our group of 4 chose Captain Randy for our first ever bay fishing trip. I’m glad we did. Captain Randy was super easy going and very personable. The fishing was slow for us that day, and our group only caught one red fish, but that is just the nature of fishing anywhere. Captain Randy moved us several locations and he and the other guides around the area communicated to see if anyone was having any luck. Everyone else had a slow day as well. We will use Captain Randy again because he knows where the fish are, but the guides can’t make the fish bite! We had a great experience with Randy and will be looking forward to our next trip with him.

Full Day Trip
Had a great day with Captain Randy. He first explained what is going on due to the cold snap Texas experienced. He warned us that it has been slow but he said he will do his best and had ideas in mind. He took us out and within 20 min we were already hooked up with a huge bull drum. Then he did it again. He explained so much information with us and I learned so much from him! After we had our fun with those he searched for the red fish. He was skillful and didn’t waste our time. He found them. And we were hooking up. Overall. Great experience. I will use him again in the summer. He was great! So much fun.

He knew all the right spots and did not give up when other captains called it a day. He spent a lot of time giving us pointers for casting and how to handle timid bites that turned into landed fish. He’s our man!
