If you’re visitng the Tampa, St. Pete, or Redington Shores area from May through July: Tarpon from all of the eastern Gulf of Mexico gather in and around Tampa Bay and Egmont Key. Tampa Bay and Boca Ciega Bay is loaded with small pass crabs during the summer months. This is one of the reasons that Tampa Bay and Boca Ciega Bay can sustain thousands of Tarpon during the peek month. The tarpon use this migration of the pass crabs as an easy way to feed and gain nutrition for their own migration.

The Mahi Mahi, Wahoo and Black Fin Tuna are here most of the time in the blue water offshore so there’s GREAT FISHING year-round. No matter what time of year you’re fishing from the Tampa area, we’ve got you covered!
