Experience one of the top fishing charters in all of North Carolina with Shallotte Outdoors Fishing Charters! Our top goal is to deliver you a professional, safe, and thrilling fishing adventure on the inshore and nearshore waters of southern North Carolina. Our fishing charters are perfect for families/children and we welcome anglers of all experience levels.

Captain Brad Stevens will be leading the way on your voyage to catch fish. He has been running North Carolina fishing charters for a long time and has vast knowledge of the species and waterways of the area. He is always happy to pass along all of his knowledge with you on your trips with him. He especially loves to help out the younger generations of fishermen. Nothing makes him happier than leading children to their first catch and getting them excited about the great sport of fishing.

Our fishing charters set sail out of Shallotte, North Carolina. Depending on here the bite is hot, Capt. Brad will lead you to the nearby fishing grounds of Ocean Isle Beach, Holden Beach, Shallotte River, The Swash, Shallotte Creek, and the intercoastal waterways of Brunswick County.

Your journey begins the second you step foot onto our gorgeous 23ft Key West Bay Reef boat. This vessel makes North Carolina fishing charters a dream come true! Her 250hp Yamaha engine provides fast travel to and from fishing spots. On deck, you will find features like GPS, fish finding technologies, a wireless trolling motor, a livewell for bait, and a cooler for your catches. This boat has plenty of room for you and 4 of your friends and family members to enjoy Shallotte fishing!

We offer 4, 6, and 8 hour fishing trips covering the inshore and nearshore waters of Shallotte. You will be provided with everything you need for a great day of fishing. Capt. Brad can teach you about several fishing techniques including trolling, bottom fishing, drift fishing, and more. We will clean and fillet any catch you are able to keep at the end of each trip.

It doesn’t get any better than North Carolina fishing and Capt. Brad will have you targeting all the exciting nearshore and inshore species of this area. Our favorite species to target on our North Carolina fishing trips include Black Drum, Bluefish, Redfish, Speckled Trout, Spanish Mackerel, and Flounder.

6 Hour – Inshore/Nearshore (PM)
We booked an inshore trip, and Capt. Austin took us out. We had done some checking with the locals about how the fishing was, and they all had said that fishing was slow, so we hoped for the best. Capt. Austin took us to several spots he thought were good, and we were able to bring in a nice speckled trout and a red drum (the flounder we caught was out of season). Capt. Austin was a great guide and great with the kids - I would recommend them to anyone. ‘Fishing’ isn’t ‘catching’, it’s about the experience you spend with others and enjoying the environment around you, and Capt. Austin provided just that. Their communication with us was great; however, the only negative that I will say is that they do not have any signage or indications of ‘Shallotte Fishing Charters’ at the dock…it was by doing a little walking around that I found Capt. Austin and the boat. I would recommend to them at least a sign. Full disclosure - Capt. Austin did say they had a sign, but it had been damaged. Regardless, we give them 10/10 because the trip was fun and interesting, and we managed to catch some keepable fish when the fishing was slow. I would recommend them to anyone, especially to families.

6 Hour – Inshore/Nearshore (AM)
Upon our arrival Austin informed us that the fishing had been slow due to weather and temperature conditions. He gave the option us we could change our trip to a half day if we want to and gave us leeway to make the decision. After 3 hours of not catching anything he once gave the option to drop to half day. We decided to take the half day and were only charged for half day trip. During the trip Austin made every effort to find fish. Austin was professional, courteous, personable and honest. For us, it was not just about fishing but time with my sons.
