Shawn’s Guide Service- Fishtrips is owned and operated by Captain Shawn Reese of San Antonio, Texas. Captain Shawn is a licensed USCG and he has been a professional fishing guide in San Antonio for over 31 years. Captain Shawn is an easy-going Captain. He’s extremely patient and he loves to watch kids reel in their first fish. He loves to pass on is passion of fishing to all of his customers and he is always willing to teach his guests how to improve their angling skills.
Captain Shawn is at the helm of a 24’ Canter Console powered by a 225HP Mercury engine. His boat is outfitted with downriggers, power poles, and a live well. A fish finder and a GPS round out the electronics on Captain Shawn’s vessel. USCG approved safety gear and a CPR trained crew are also on board. Captain Shawn welcomes children of all ages and anglers of all skill level for what’s sure to be a fun day on the water with Shawn’s Guide Service- Fishtrips.
On your trip with Shawn’s Guide Service- Fishtrips you’ll be freshwater fishing on Braunig Lake and Calaveras Lake as well as Canyon Lake. Captain Shawn will supply you and your guests with top of the line rods, reels, lures, and tackle. Fresh bait will also be supplied. Captain Shawn is skilled in many different fishing techniques. They include trolling, spinning, drift fishing, and bottom fishing.
