The Tarpon have show up and down the West Central beachs from clearwater to st Petersburg. The best time to target these brawlers is from daybreak to dark and warmer water and excessive bait. The Tarpon have been ranging from 80 to 100 Lbs. Now is the time to book your trip for the thrill that only the King can bring. Redfish will be scattered from the wind but will bunch back up quickly. Fish 22 to 28 inches have been the norm. They have moved onto the flats, staging on sand points and oyster bars and mangrovesshore lines. These bull dogs will be transitioning to cut bait such as dead thread fins cut ladyfish and small pinfish soaked on the bottom as the water keeps heating up. Snook are still on the beaches from John pass to clearwater Beach. Look for the snook to start transitioning to the flats and in the passes. White bait has been the bait of choice but having pinfish and select shrimp can really coax these weary fish into feeding. Fish ranging from 5 to 20 Lbs. Speckled trout have been all over the same areas lots of fish from 16 to 25in makes for great action. Thanks capt craig
