This charter leaves from the Harrison State Park Boat Ramp for a half-day fishing trip specifically targeting white and black crappie; however, other species including bass and catfish are taken as well. This is a particularly enjoyable and safe trip and fishing never takes place more than one-half mile from shore. Typically, trolling with artificial and livebait using planer boards is the preferred technique for selecting a better quality and quantity of fish. It allows for up to six rods to be fished simultaneously which allows you to catch more fish!! Secondary strategies include jigging and casting various artificial and live baits.

This trip is identical to the 5-hour option but simply includes extra fishing time and more opportunity to try different strategies. Captain Greg will introduce you to a wide variety of fishing strategies including long-lining, spider-rigging, planer board fishing, jigging, live bait trolling, and more.
This trip leaves the Charleston (TN) Boat Ramp at 0630 . The target species is striped bass but largemouth and spotted bass are usually taken as well. The fishing strategy includes trolling livebait with planer boards and is particularly effective at catching large, fiesty stripers as they move upstream during late spring/ early summer from Lake Chickamauga to seek cooler waters in the upper river.

Outstanding Fishing Trips!
Greg gets you on the fish! Whatever you are looking for, Greg will get em. I have been on many trips and have never been disappointed. We have caught multiple types of Bass, Catfish, Drum, Crappie and even "keeper" size bluegill. Greg is great trolling, bait casting, dock shooting or using live bait. Excellent Captain and Guide!

I'm use to deep southern trips. The heat can be brutal. On this lake in Tennessee, at this time of year it was so different. Greg has a long history of fishing and it shows. Best of times, relaxing & catching fish.
