Captain David Hochman is a competitive freediver and has competed in spearfishing competitions since 1996. Since his first place win in the 1997 Connecticut State Spear Fishing Championship, he has taken the top three places in the Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island State Spear Fishing Championships nearly every year. In 2003, he and his Three-Man team won the United States National Spear Fishing Championship beating 130 of the top competitors in the US! In 1998 they won 3rd place in the US Nationals . He has captained boats in the Block Island sound for 26 years and has 31 years of boat handling and spearfishing experience. David has personally speared 7 striped bass 60 pounds and over and nine bass over 60 pounds have been speared on his boat. He has 36 + personal striped bass speared over 50 pounds ....

4 Hour Trip – Nearshore Bottom
For someone who has barely fished in their life, these guys made it happen for me! It was super clear that they knew what they were doing. We caught lots of fish and I learned so many new things on the trip. Not to mention, they filleted the fish so all we had to do was cook it! One of the best experiences i’ve ever had, I strongly recommend Captain David and Jimmy!

4 Hour Trip–Nearshore Bottom Group
Weather was great, water was flat, some sunshine, fish were being ornery. As luck would have it with a 4 hour charter, they started hitting right at the end. A great time. Will definitely do it again on this boat. Thanks Dave and Jim.
