Captain Rick Marchetti is a Florida native from south Florida and the Florida Keys. He has been in the central Florida area for 32 years and is one of the top fishing guides around. His roots in Florida bass fishing started in the Florida Everglades and now he has gone back to his love of freshwater fishing here at the world's famous Stick Marsh, Farm 13, and Lake Garcia.
When Captain Rick is guiding you on your bass trip you can expect to fish a number of different lakes depending on the weather conditions. The majority of our trips are done on the stick marsh farm 13 area. We may go to other great, but less known, areas like Garcia, Blue Cypress, and the C-54 canal which often produce fishing opportunities when the main lake doesn't. No matter what body of water, we are just minutes away from each one.
Your bass fishing adventure will be done aboard the 19’ Stalker center console that’s powered by a 130 HP Evinrude engine. Her petite size makes it easy to move through shallow or narrow waters, making her a perfect fit for almost any kind of freshwater trip. She can carry up to three anglers at a time, so feel free to bring some of your family or two of your buddies along for your trip.
The price of a trip will include all the rods, reels, and terminal tackle needed for a productive bass fishing trip. Once you return from fishing, Captain Rick will clean the catch for you. All you need to do is to bring some drinks, snacks, a pair of sunglasses, some sunscreen to combat the Florida sun, and you’re all set.
Stick Marsh Charters specializes in Bass fishing with artificial lures. The waters of the marsh are around 4 to 8 feet deep and it’s one of the top 10 trophy Bass locations in the entire state, making it definitely worth a trip.
