Galveston offers something for everyone when it comes to fishing. Whether you want to go fishing in the Bay or out to the deep-blue water, you can find it in Galveston. Stray Cat Charters is the go-to service for your next Galveston fishing charter.
Captain Jerry Praker has been fishing the waters around Galveston for many years and comes from a family of commercial fishermen. He has his 100-ton USCG Captain’s License and is fully insured. Captain Jerry knows all the best spots to put you on the fish and looks forward to sharing his knowledge and expertise with anglers of all ages and skill levels.
Your Stray Cat Charters trip will take place aboard a 30ft Chris Craft Tournament Sportfish complete with air-conditioned cabin and restroom. Powered by twin 350HP engines with a maximum cruising speed of 27 knots, and loaded with the necessary navigation and safety gear, this vessel gets you to the fish quickly and safely.
Stray Cat Charters will provide your rods, reels, lures, bait and tackle. Captain Jerry will also provide you with ice to store your catch and water to enjoy while on your trip. Every guest must have a valid Texas fishing license, regardless of if they plan on fishing or just watching. Don’t forget your Red Drum Tag. Captain Jerry asks that you wear non-marking shoes and remember your sunscreen. Feel free to bring a small cooler with any drinks and snacks you would like to enjoy while on your fishing charter. Beer is ok, but no hard liquor. And please – No Bananas!
With Stray Cat Charters you have a variety of inshore, nearshore and offshore trips to choose from. You can enjoy fishing the Galveston Jetties for species such as Redfish, black drum or flounder, or maybe a full day offshore trip is more to your liking. If you are feeling adventurous, from June-September, you can head out on a Shark fishing trip.
Let Stray Cat Charters and Captain Jerry take you on your next Galveston fishing adventure and get ready to make memories that will last a lifetime.
