Captain Tom is the owner and operator of TD Tradition Sportfishing in San Pedro, California. He is an industry legend. Captain Tom and his crew have a combined experience of 100 years. Captain Tom is a tournament winning Captain. He is one of the founding members of the San Diego sportfishing fleet. TD Tradition Sportfishing and Captain Tom offer private fishing charters in Southern California to Mexican waters.

Captain Tom helms a 36’ Sport Fisherman powered by 300Hp Twin Yanmar engines. His vessel is outfitted with USCG approved safety gear and a CPR trained crew. His boat has a casting platform, flybridge, and a live well for fresh bait. A VHF radio, GPS, fish finder, multimedia system, and a radar round out the electronics on Captain Tom’s boat. Creature comforts of home such as a kitchen, bed, salon, and a toilet are all available for your convenience. The fishing license for you and all of your guests is provided when you fish with TD Tradition Sportfishing and Captain Tom as well as top of the line rods, reels, tackle, and live bait. Captain Tom and his crew are skilled in many different fishing techniques. They will have you bottom fishing, spinning, trolling, jigging, and deep-sea fishing among the inshore flats and offshore wrecks for your intended prey.

You will be targeting Bonito, Ling Cod, Scorpion Fish, Yellowfin Tuna, Calico Bass, Mahi Mahi, Sea Bass, Wahoo, Yellowtail, Halibut, Barracuda, Red Snapper, Rockfish, Sheepshead, and White Seabass on your trip with TD Tradition Sportfishing. You may also have the opportunity to bring in Spiny Lobster as well. After your plentiful day on the water with TD Tradition Sportfishing, the First Mate will clean and fillet your catch for you just in time for supper.

I brought my son for his first ocean fishing trip. After hitting the limit on sea bass and catching a nice variety of others we called it a day. Now I have a huge fan on my hands who’s already asking about our next trip

Full Day Trip – Catalina
This charter was excellent!! The boat was nice and clean and plenty of room for 3 people + captain and first mate. Captain Kerry and first mate Julio were awesome! Both super nice, super helpful, and super knowledgable! Captain Kerry got us on fish immediately! I’ve been on many charters (both private and open), and I’ve NEVER been on a bite so quickly! We had our lines in the water for literally 45 seconds and we were getting bit. We got bit at almost spot we stopped at. Between all of us on board we probably got about **hidden content** bites. Caught all three B’s. We caught a lot of short calicos so our bag was a little light. But that didn’t matter AT ALL. The action was on fire all day. Back to back to back hookups! We did catch a few legal calico’s and a decent amount of bonita, so we had plenty to take home. All in all a pretty epic day of fishing! Thanks guys, see you again soon!

Great customer service from beginning to end. The quick replies and constant communication was very helpful. We actually had to reschedule our trip and Captain Tom and worked with us and got us on the water and on the fish. The boat was clean and well kept. The equipment was all well maintained and worked well. Everyone on our trip had a great time. It is a diesel so that is why I only gave it four stars on the boat.
