Fishing in the Charleston area is good all year round but as in any place in the world, there are better times to catch them than others. We at The Reel Deal Charters take great pride in ensuring you have a productive and enjoyable experience. Our staff are skilled professionals and can teach you all the tricks of the trade. Fishing is more than putting a piece of bait in the water. Depth, structure, water temperature, barometric pressure and bottom composition are just some of the factors taken into consideration when fishing for a specific species. We promote catch and release of all fish but have no problem with you keeping the catch for a nice dinner. All South Carolina Department Natural Resources and federal regulations are strictly adhered to. All boats are fully equipped with the latest electronics and tackle to ensure a great day of fishing in the Charleston area. All licenses, baits (live, cut, or artificial) and tackle are included in the price of our charters.

Half Day Trip
Dave took us out to Sullivan Island we caught the sea trout, a nice 25 inch red and a stingray just for fun. We hit a couple more spots got a few hits then we went out to the harbor and in 50-60 feet of water the fun began. The first cast, the pole bent down and as soon as I grabbed it the line snapped. No first cast jinx here. Every cast after that was a home run. We actually had fish on all 3 poles at once. That’s when I pulled in a couple black tip sharks all the res were over 30 inches and my wife , who was on her first ever fishing trip, got that nice 35 inch red in the picture. Good times! Thanx Dave!

Half Day Trip
Mike was wonderful. We had a good time, he was personable, knowledgeable and genuinely cared that we had a good experience. We didn’t catch much inland and not for Captain Mike not trying. He took us to 4 different places and tried all the tricks in his pocket. We had better luck out in the Ocean. 3 sharks and a very large Red Drum. That was all very exciting. We also forgot somethings on the boat. Mike contacted us when he found them and he offered to meet us the following day since he lived about 30 minutes from where we were staying. I thought that was very nice although he was done with what we signed up for. He was even going to send his wife to meet us. We were not letting them do that and traveled to get our items from him but… he was going to go out if his way or have his wife help us. I appreciated the gesture and would recommend him and the trip to anyone wanting to fish. Loved it

Half Day Trip
Starting out trying to find trout. They weren’t having it. Pulled up going to another spot. Halfway we seen Spanish jumping and feeding. Lee set us up with some spoons quick. We hooked into at least 40. We ended up landing 12 good size Spanish in the boat that were keepers. Biggest one we caught 24 inches. Had a great time.Boy even caught a puffer fish and a seagull that was set free with no harm done. Lee got or fish cleaned up and filleted. He’s the man!!!!!!
