Galveston Bay is one THE best places to fish Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, and Flounder. And Triple D Charters will work hard to get you on the fish! Captain Nick Dykes is an experienced Captain with ten years of experience guiding customers; let him put his experience and knowledge to work for you! Great with kids, Captain Nick teaches anglers of all ages and skills for a great day of Galveston Bay fishing. Whether you’re a Texas local or visiting the area, we’re fishing year round and look forward to fishing with your crew. Inshore species such as Redfish and Spotted Seatrout are present in the bay 12months of the year, with peak months from late summer to winter (August-December). Flounder fishing is best August-October, with peak season in December where we catch them by either bottom fishing or Flounder Gigging (which is a night fishing trip using high-powered lights and gigging poles). Bring your crew aboard Captain Nick’s 24’ South Shore center console, originally built in 2016. It’s powered by a 250 HP Suzuki engine, and has a wireless trolling motor. This fishing vessel is perfect for the shallow waters of Galveston Bay! The GPS and fishfinder are used to locate the most productive spots, and all safety equipment is certified by the U.S. Coast Guard. Everything you need for a successful fishing trip is provided by Captain Nick and Triple D Charters, including spinning rods, reels, and lures. At an extra cost live bait can be purchased at a market price. Before you climb aboard, make sure you have a current Texas fishing license with a saltwater stamp. After your trip, Captain Nick will clean, fillet, and bag your catch. He says kids are permitted on the trips, but please specify their age when booking so that we can prepare the correct size of life vest, or you can bring your own for children under 13 years old. Make sure to bring food and drinks for the day; and wear sun protection items such as hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Non-skid shoes are best, and you may want to bring a ziplock bag to store personal items. And don’t forget the camera as we capture memories of reeling in monster trophy fish! Captain Nick is ready to fish with you! Book today with Triple D Charters for your Galveston fishing trip!
Your Captain will provide:
