One of the most popular species of saltwater fish to catch in Florida is Gag Grouper. The “Nature Coast” is home to some of the best nearshore Gag Grouper fishing in the state. Just a few miles off the coastline the bottom is littered with rock piles, ledges, holes and various man made structures where these aggressive ambush predators live. From dropping live bait to trolling with plugs Gag Grouper are very fun to catch, can offer a battle on a rod, and are one of the best-tasting fish in the ocean.
