Captain Roy Johnson will be navigating you around as we search for your trophy catch. Capt. Roy was born and raised in the area and spent the majority of his life on the waters in the Gulf of Mexico. As a third generation native Captain, Roy grew up fishing with his father, grandfather, and brother, learning to truly appreciate the wonderful fishing of the Tampa Bay area’s Gulf Coast. He has devoted his career to sharing the ultimate fishing experience with every angler he takes out to fish.
Our trips begin in St. Petersburg, but we will cover the waters, of Tampa, Clearwater, Largo, Bradenton, Apollo Beach, Palmetto, St. Pete Beach, and many other fine locations along the coast of central west Florida.
Your ultimate fishing journey starts the second you step onto the gorgeous 22ft Skeeter 220SX bay boat. Behind her is a 250hp Yamaha engine that will cruise her up to 30 knots to get you where you need to be in a timely manner. You’ll find a GPS and fishfinder on board and she features a wireless trolling motor to sneak up on those anxious fish. This boat has all the necessary safety equipment to give you peace of mind out there on the water.
We will provide Eupro rods, Penn reels, Spiderwire fishing lines, and all the bait and lures you will need for a successful trip. A fishing license is included in the price as well. Capt. Roy will gladly clean all of your catches after the trip, so you are able to cook and eat later.
While inshore fishing with us, you might see a Redfish, Snook, Jack Crevalle, Cobia, or even a Shark on the other end of your line as you are fighting to reel it in. Capt. Roy will help you target your catch by spinning, jigging, or handline fishing.
Without friends, fishing isn’t as much fun, and you will always be welcome to bring your friends and family along on any trip you take with Ultimate Fishing Charters.
