Uptick Charters with Captain Michael Tierney provides full service fishing trips for your next Outer Banks vacation. Perfect for six passengers, the “Uptick II” offers plenty of space for all rods to be looking for the next catch. This fast, smooth-riding 36ft fishing vessel has a huge cockpit and comfortable salon. Your group will be able to get out of the sun and enjoy the ride to our fishing grounds.

Summer is a great time to fish the OBX. Uptick Charters can take you inshore fishing for Flounder, or deep sea fishing for Marlin. Whatever your group is looking for, Captain Michael can accommodate your needs. Feel free to ask any questions before your trip, and let us know what you’re looking for… depending on the season and weather we will do our best to make your fishing dreams come true.

Our boat is fitted with downriggers, outriggers, casting platform, and livewell for optimal fishing conditions. Even if you’ve never picked up a rod before we can help you get your dream catch! We can teach you casting, bottom fishing, trolling, gigging, kite fishing, and so much more. Angler of all ages and skill level are welcome to fish with Captain Michael and Uptick Charters.

Uptick Charters provides your fishing license, coolers to store your food and drinks, all tackle, bait, and ice. Not included is customary gratuity for the First Mate. You’ll want to wear comfortable shoes (non-skid) and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. You are welcome to bring beer, but no hard liquor and no glass please.

Awesome day on the water with Captain Mike and his mate Todd. Ended up changing the original plan to get where the fish are(but that’s the point of fishing). And instead of chasing Spanish mackerel all around we headed out way off shore to bottom fish up to 300ft of water using electric reels. Awesome day with an awesome catch, would book with captain Mike in the future.
