Captain David King will be your guide as you search the waters of the San Francisco Bay for your next prize catch. Capt. David has over 20 years of experience fishing the bay and local waters. Capt. David loves being out on the water and wants to make sure your day on the water is as enjoyable as it can be. He loves to teach all of his clients about fishing the area and how much fun it can be.

Your fishing trip with Capt. David will start from the Hyde Street Pier in San Francisco and venture on to the nearby waters of Oakland, Alameda, Richmond, San Rafael, San Leandro, San Mateo, Berkeley, Golden Gate Bridge, and many other beautiful locations around the Central West Coast of California in the Pacific coast.

Capt. David’s commercial 34ft Pelican Bay Boatworks vessel is perfect for fishing charters in California. She’s powered by 2 225hp Volvo Penta engines that allow for a smooth and speedy ride. She features all the required safety features needed for a safe trip. On deck you will find a salon, refrigerator, livewell, icebox, and a toilet for added convenience.

We offer half day morning and half day afternoon trips that provide you with full tackle, Avet reels, and custom 270L rods from Surf City Anglers. Fresh and live bait are also included at no extra cost. After the trip, our crew will clean and prepare your catches for you to take home or to a local restaurant for cooking options. You will need to purchase a fishing license before the trip and bring a Sturgeon Report Card if you’d like to be able to retain a White Sturgeon!

San Francisco is home to ton of exciting species such as Striped Bass, Sturgeon, Dungeness Crab, Rockfish, Tuna, Salmon, Halibut, and Cod just to name a few. Capt. David will do his best to make sure you catch many of these amazing species.

Full Day Private Trip
We were targeting Halibut and Striped Bass, Captain David King and his Deckhand Jesse were really helpful and knowledgeable throughout the whole trip. We managed to catch 7 halibut keepers and 1 striped bass keeper for our party of 6, the other 6 halibut we caught were too small. The crew were really friendly and attentive, constantly keeping an eye on the fishing lines and baiting the hooks. I would recommend a full day 10 hour trip, to maximize your potential for catching a fish and take in the beauty of the Bay Area. Be sure to bring sunscreen, your lunch, drinks, as well as a light cooler (preferably styrofoam) to store the fish at the end of the day. Thank you Captain and Jesse for this wonderful experience, we look forward to fishing with you again in the future.

Half Day Trip
We had a group with little experience looking forward to enjoying the Bay. After a quick ride past the Golden Gate, Captain Dave set us up and we were catching fish immediately. Anytime it slowed down, we would move and we were finding more to catch. It was a great trip and we couldn’t have been any better supported by the crew! Thank you. We will be back.

Captain Dave and crew are fantastic. I took a group of guys on a birthday trip, and had a great time. Dave is safe - his boat is run by the book. He’s also knowledgeable. We were on the fist all day. We caught halibut, bass, shark (inc. a 3-foot leopard shark), and rays all day long. Furthermore, they are exceptionally hospitable. They make sure you’re taken care of. If you go out with Captain Dave, ask if you can say hi to ‘Lefty’ when you return to dock.
