Meet Captain Joe Ezell. Captain Joe’s passion for fishing goes back to his childhood years. Nothing will make him happier than to see you catch some nice fish with his help. Whiskey Bayou Charters is happy to guide you around the waters of Delacroix, New Orleans, Shell Beach, Bohemia, and many other wonderful locations around Chandeleuer Sound and southeast Louisiana.
You will fish from a Majek 25 ft Xtreme bay boat powered by a Yamaha F300 4 stroke outboard. Our attention to detail and efforts to make your trip an unparalleled success does not stop with the vessel. You will use tournament grade tackle from the Cajun Custom rod and Penn Conflict II reel down to the Spiderwire braided line and custom corks. In addition to all the necessary safety and navigation gear, the boat is also equipped with a Minn Kota Riptide Ulterra trolling motor, twin Minn Kota Talon shallow water anchors, and a Lowrance HDS 12 GPS/fishfinder.
You can expect to cast out with premium Cajun Custom Rods, Savannah series spinning rods, and Penn Conflict II reels spooled with Spiderwire Invisibraid line and Bomber saltwater grade terminal tackle. We use premium tackle because we never want equipment failure to cause the loss of a catch.
A typical trip lasts from first safe light until we limit, you are tired of catching or, we have been on the water 6-7 hours. We strive to make sure you have a fulfilling trip, but we have to call it around the 7-hour mark. On our inshore trips we scour the waters for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Black Drum, and Sheepshead.
Louisiana is considered by many, and we certainly think so too, to be the fishing capitol of the world.
