One, it affects the fishing and two, if you go too far up in the marsh and the tide goes out, you’ll be there a while. A maze of rivers like the Savannah, Bull, Wilmington and Ogeechee rivers send fingers out into the marsh that can all produce good fishing for freshwater fish like bass, bream and catfish as well as saltwater species that migrate into the brackish water.
