JP Mckay will be your captain on your Florida Everglades fishing adventure. Capt. JP has over 30 years of experience fishing in Florida and has vast knowledge of the waterways and fish species of the Everglades. He will keep you entertained with all of his interesting stories of his fishing experiences. Capt. JP loves to meet new people and enjoys sharing all of his insight with his clients. He is excellent with kids and nothing makes him happier than seeing their faces when they catch their first Bass.
Your fishing journey with Capt. JP will start just outside of Fort Lauderdale and go onto explore the Florida Everglades in search of your trophy catch. This gorgeous area of Florida is home to exciting marine species and the scenery here is beyond stunning. There will never be a dull moment in between catches with all the sights to behold in the Everglades.
Capt. JP has a 21ft Ranger bay boat that makes fishing in the Everglades a dream come true. She is powered by a 250hp Mercury engine that will provide a smooth and comfortable ride to all the fishing hotspots in South Florida. You will find all the proper fish finding and safety equipment on board as well as a wireless trolling motor to help you sneak up on fish. This fishing vessel also features a live bait well to keep any bait fresh for the entire length of the trip.
We offer full and half day trips that take place mornings and afternoons covering the backcountry and flats of the Florida Everglades. You will be provided with high quality rods, reels, tackle, and lures on all your trips with us. If you wish to use Shiners as live bait, Capt. JP will tell you where you can purchase them before the trip.
Peacock Bass and Largemouth Bass will be your main target on your fishing trip with us. They are both highly sought-after species that are fun to catch. Peacock Bass are some of the most beautiful freshwater fish in the world. You could run into the occasional Bluegill as well.

You'll have to purchase a fishing license before your trip but everything else will be provided, including top-of-the-line Shimano rods and reels.
