Hooked Up Sportfishing and Captain Taco are located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida just minutes away from Miami, Florida. Capt. Taco has lived in South Florida his entire life. He has fished all over the world including St. Thomas, Turks and Caicos, Mexico, Venezuela, and throughout the Bahamas honing his craft. His knowledge and skill will put you on the fish. Captain Taco welcomes children and anglers of all skill level.

Captain Taco invites you for an incredible fishing experience aboard his 45’ Sport Fisherman powered by dual 450HP Cummins engines. His impressive vessel is outfitted with downriggers, outriggers, and power poles as well as USCG approved safety equipment. The vessel is fully air-conditioned with a spacious salon, a flybridge, and clean restrooms. Full navigational electronics, a large cockpit with four fighting chairs, and two live wells will help you find and land your dream catch in the most efficient and comfortable way possible.

Hooked Up Sportfishing provides all of the rods, reels, tackle, live bait, and lures as well as the fishing license for you and all of your guests. You’ll also be using many different fishing techniques on your trip with Hooked Up Sportfishing such as bottom fishing, deep sea fishing, kite fishing, jigging, and many more. Captain Taco offers many trip options for up to 6 anglers. Whatever trip you choose you’re sure to have an awesome fishing trip with Hooked Up Sportfishing!

You’ll have a wide range of species to go after on your fishing adventure with Hooked Up Sportfishing. You and your guests will be targeting Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Bonito, White Marlin, Barracuda, Sharks, and Cobia as well as the occasional Blue Marlin. And this is just the beginning of the list. Captain Taco will take you up to 5 miles from the coast and show you the hottest spots for the best chance to land various species. We'll head 3-5 miles out on this shared trip for King Mackerel, Sharks, Red Snapper, and Barracuda. Times are flexible.

You'll have an opportunity to try many different fishing techniques on this trip. Troll the reefs for Mahi Mahi and Sailfish or we'll deep drop for Grouper and Red Snapper.

3/4 Day Trip (PM)

These trips can depart at 1:00 or 2:00 in the afternoon and return in 6 hours. You will have plenty of time to try different fishing methods. Troll the reef and try kite fishing. Head up to 20 miles offshore for Mahi Mahi, deep drop for Snapper and Grouper.

These trips are for the experienced angler looking for that battle of a lifetime with monster Swordfish. We do NOT recommend these trip to first timers! These trips are for those who are used to fishing way offshore and that KNOW FISHING! (WE ARE HEROS OR ZEROS). We want to catch these sea monsters more than anyone but this is fishing! While we are very good at what we do and we're fishing in our backyard it is still FISHING so we don't always catch Swordfish on every trip.

Trip Details

This trip will take you up to 20 miles out for monster Swordfish. If you are an experienced angler, look no further. Once you get to the ground, you will rig bonito or squid, and it’s fish on! Expect to troll for Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Blue Marlin, and Tuna on your way out. The departure time will depend on the season and can be from 5:30 to 6:00 pm. You will leave the dock 2-3 hours before the sunset.

Awesome Experience!
Super awesome experience! As a world traveler I was deeply satisfied with the knowledge and experience that Taco and Rusty brought to the table. The boat was super clean and the fishing was great. To top it all off we caught a shark!

My experience with Hooked Up Fishing was the highlight of my vacation! It was such a fun time and had a super welcoming crew. We began catching fish within just 30 minutes, and went on to catch a huge shark, which we released. I would fully recommend this trip to anyone looking to have a fun time and a good fishing experience. 10/10, such a great time! :)
