Trip could not be better, both Tom and Joe have an incredible depth and experience, very professional and amazing service. Trip is great or the whole family, there is A/C on the boat, with all the facilities fridge, bathroom, cooler filled with Ice and water. Joe takes care with all the fishing gear and teaching making the experience seamless and lots of fun. Tom is a pro taking us to all the great fishing spots navigating from place to place fishing live bait and then taking us were we caught an amazing sail fish 8 feet long - at least 90 pounds. Well worth the experience, took our 8 and 11 year old daughters fishing for the first time, was an incredible experience!

Despite rainy weather and rough seas Captain Tom and Cam made our 6-hour adventure fishing fun and exciting. From the first hit when my sister-in-law reeled in a huge 4 1/2-foot barracuda through the last Kingfish we felt like the trip was worth every penny.
The boat was comfortable for my 81-year-old mother-in-law who was able to watch most of the action from their comfortable cabin lounging on a nice leather sofa. It was great having fighting chairs to help reel in the catches. We were out to catch enough to take home and we accomplished our goal! We were able to get several days meals.
Captain Tom got out to deep water fast, so we didn’t waste much time before getting started. Cam kept the lines with fresh bait and offered just the right amount of help bringing the catches aboard.
We spent some time with downpours, but it really was a chance to catch our breaths before we had to reel in the next big catch.
Overall, we would highly recommend Captain Tom and Cam and we will certainly hire them again next time we are in town!!

When choosing a boat to charter to go deep sea fishing, I read a lot of reviews and spoke to several captains. I chose Marlin My Darlin for 3 reasons.
1. I read a review that said these were the guys for “big fish”.
That review was right.
2. I wanted to take my fish to a restaurant after the trip that would cook it for me.
They recommend Southport Raw Bar & Restaurant. We went there and it was excellent!
3. Most importantly I wanted to catch a shark!
They were up for the challenge!
Captain Kenny and Joe were great! They were fun, professional and very knowledgeable. We caught so many King Mackerels we had to throw one back. I caught a Bonita too, and then it was time to go shark fishing.
They asked me what type of shark I wanted to catch, and I told them hammerhead, but would be happy with anything. Truthfully at that point we caught so many other fish that I was already planning on giving them a big tip.
So we went shark fishing, and after a few big bites, a got a big one! An 8 foot, 250lbs hammerhead shark!
They can’t guarantee you will always catch a shark, but they will put you in the best place to get what you want to catch.
Hire this boat. Go fishing with Kenny and Joe. Plan on giving a big tip, because they will earn it and you will want to pay it with a smile on your face only slightly smaller than your catch!
