Captain Tom is a Coast Guard licensed, CPR-Trained, Licensed by the FWC (Florida Wildlife Commission), and Insured Captain in the Tampa area. His permits are good for three anglers aboard his 20ft Mako Center Console; and insurance covers all passengers. For your Tampa fishing trip, we can go bottom fishing, drift fishing, spinning, deep sea fishing, or fishing with light tackle. And don’t worry if you’re new to the hobby; Captain Tom is happy to teach you the tips of the trade. Sharing his love for fishing is one of the perks of being a Tampa Bay Charter Captain! Depart around 3 p.m. and choose between hitting the shallow flats or fishing the famous Tampa Bay. The captain will provide you with licenses for the day as well as all the necessary fishing equipment.

Beginner's Fishing Trip

This quick, kid friendly trip will have you fishing for Snook, Trout, Redfish, and potentially Grouper using light tackle. A fishing license and all of the fishing equipment will be provided for you!

Open for fishing! Book this trip and get a chance to go inshore, flats or deep water fishing. You will spend 4 hours enjoying Tampa Bay with Capt. Tom! Fishing gear and licenses are included. Please, have in mind that flip-flops are not allowed.

Open for fishing! Full Day sounds like a too long trip and Half Day is too short? This is 6-hour inshore, flats, or deep water fishing trip which will suit your needs. Don't worry, everything will be prepared by your Captain for a great adventure, including fishing gear and licenses! Just please, have in mind that flip-flops are not allowed aboard.

Half Day Trip (AM)
As a fisherman, I know that the catching part of the fishing relies on a number of factors. The negative factors were in play when my son-in-law and grandson went fishing for Mango Snappers in September 2021 with Captain Charlton, including how we were holding our mouths while fishing.(That’s an oldy but goodie) My point! It was a great day of fishing. Captain Charlton was determined to get us on the fish. I know my back couldn’t have outlasted the number of times he raised the anchor to move us into position. Alas! It was not to be. But that fact will not keep me from coming back. His professional and genuine interest in his charges were outstanding. His knowledge of the area and the fishing possibilities we excellent. The inability of matching school and work schedules made it impossible to schedule another outing with the Captain during the remaining time I was in Florida. Next Time! Lord willing and global warming want flood downtown Tampa.

Beginner 3 Hour Tour
Captain Tom was fantastic and very professional. Arrive exactly on time, promptly responded to questions and seemingly enjoyed the outdoors. While we only landed 2 smaller fish, the Captain did take us to where the fish were as there were schools all around us, just being more fickle this morning. Would most definitely come use the Captain again. Also very happy that his Mako boat led to very smooth sailing around the bay as we went from spot to spot. A fun morning before I hopped on my flight out.
