James was born and raised on the West coast of Florida and has been fishing the Sarasota, Bradenton and Tampa Bay area for over 15 years. He specializes in inshore Snook, Redfish, Tarpon and Trout fishing. He has always had a passion for inshore fishing and loves nothing more than sharing this passion with others. No matter your age or skill level he can put a trip together to fit you. He is great with kids, dogs, and large groups. Capt. James is a fun easy-going Captain that just wants to show you a good time on the beautiful waters of this area.
Holmes Beach will be the starting point of your glorious outdoor fishing adventure with Capt. James. Depending on where the action is at, you will go on to explore the inshore waterways of Anna Maria Island, Longboat Key, Bradenton, Sarasota, St. Petersburg, Palmetto, Siesta Key, and many other fine locations on the west coast of Florida.
Your adventure will take place on the stunning 19ft Pathfinder bay boat that is perfect for inshore fishing charters in Florida. She is powered by a 115hp Yamaha four stroke engine and can carry up to 5 passengers. Capt. James will make sure the boat has all the required safety and navigational equipment so you may have peace of mind out there on the water.
We offer full and half day fishing trips that will include all the fishing gear you need for a successful fishing trip. Some fish you can expect to see on your trips with us include Cobia, Flounder, Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Tarpon, sharks, Mangrove Snapper, Snook, and Tripletail. Some of the techniques we use to catch these species include bottom fishing, bow fishing, drift fishing, fly fishing, light tackle, spinning, and trolling.
